Week 8

Monday

I am totally exhausted but ready to finish the animatic for this week. Neil helpfully sorted out the flaws in our project. Charlotte and Shannon are tasked to work on the timing and animations of our scenes. I'm still doing the last of the crow animations and the layouts.

Animatrix: Kid's Story is a good animation reference to our animatic. I spent the whole day finishing the style of the crow animations and preparing to animate them. I've also come up with a couple of the girl scenes with her walking up to the houses and running.

Tuesday

I went over to see my support worker. Everything checks out under this dark day. The animation crows are going great. I've finished painting my layouts with watercolour and scanned them into the computer. The progress on animating them has been slow but promising. I have nearly five ready, inculding a sixth one. I'm so excited that I couldn't believe that my team mates are doing so well.

Wednesday

It has been a really good day. I have completed about six crow animations and another four is on its way. Shannon is doing great with the scenes and sketches for the snow globe and turn-a-rounds. Charlotte is producing such beautiful artwork. They agree to stylize my crow animations. Though everyone is doing great with animatic, I just wish Mimi would just stop using Charlotte as a punching bag and quit trying to control everything.

Thursday

Shannon was sick on all days that Les was coming round to check on the animatic. I was so angry and worried that the team's incompetence is going to ruin the grade. Les helpfully pointed out the flaws in my crow animations: beaks needed to be long and curved. So I stayed up until midnight finalizing dozens of drawings of it.

Friday

I'm setting up the PDF for the presentation on Monday. I'm organizing my work that played its part in designing the Guardian and uploading the animation clips on my Google Drive instead of the Blog because the files are too darn big to fit in the tiny program.

Week 7

Monday

So far, I've come up with nearly three crow animations. Shannon and Charlotte seems to find the work promising. We seem to be coming up slow with the development due to work or stress related problems. I've already finished the film noir and horror genre moodboards to help see and design the layouts and characters faster. Team Bing Bong is doing good. Just need to focus and get the project totally finished.
Neil has finished at 11, but Les is still around for the afternoon. Charlotte, Shannon and I have made plans to finish the animatic within the week.

I'm doing my part in finishing the layouts with the crow animations and getting my essay in order.

My team is pretty useless today. So much work is hardly done and the presentation is next Thursday. I'm under so much pressure with the project and the essay its a wonder how I managed to survive the last three years of slow death.

Tuesday

I went to see my support worker at the atrium today. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm totally sick and exhausted. I'm scared out of my mind with this project. I just want this whole thing to be over with already so I can finally enjoy some freedom for a change. I've drawn up camera shots alternatives from the original storyboard and posted them on Facebook.

Wednesday

I went to Dyslexia Actions today in a rainy, foggy day. I never felt so miserable. The essay still needs some improvement. I have to find the quotes that connect with the research articles and find more books on how animation and media can influence the mind.

Thursday

I went to class today. I've adapted the cross-sketch style to my crow animations and it took forever to finish one out of 52 panels. I was given the tasks of finishing the final storyboard so my team can paint out the layouts watercolour style. I'm still finishing the last of the crow animations and tasked with finding girl references for Lucy.

Friday

After a whole day, I've finally finished constructing the final storyboards and posted them on Facebook. My teammates are happy that I've finished it for them. Doing two more crow animations and plan to do some layouts later.

Week 6

Monday

Neil is doing a presentation on the workings of 3D. Everyone is exhausted beyond measure. We all look like the walking dead. We are learning the works of 2D and 3D and how it will happen in the future. Neil gave us advice on how to improve our project. I need to sketch by my own style by developing and animating the crow.
Charlotte is going to improve on the layouts. Shannon wasn't in due to illness on Wednesday at 2, we are having a meeting about the project.

Tuesday

I've met up with my support worker today from Clear Links. We plan to meet again next week at 10 instead of 11. Tonight, I've written more on my essay. I've finished reading and writing notes on the journal articles mixed with my perspective that was suggested by my tutor. I'm up to nearly 3000 words now.

Wednesday

I went over to my support worker at Dyslexia Action to discuss my essay. She helped structure it properly and it looks really good. Charlotte and I went to see Neil about the work. He was already impressed with Shannon's sketches and helped improve them. He liked the ink splatter for the crow's flight path.

Thursday

Les came round to inspect everyone's work. He recommends a composition book called Ink to help improve our storyboards, including Dream Worlds. I've been working well on the crow animations and doing more for those scenes only.
